Shopped around for 2% milk. Found that Aldi was the cheapest at $1.75 for 1 Gal. Kroger, Meijer, Hollywood Market, Target, Wal-Mart and Costco happen to be more expensive. Only Hillers at $1.77 was close to Aldi.

Tide detergant prices
While you would think that Costco has the cheapest price on Tide detergant, I beg to differ. I shopped around yesterday and found the following:
Meijers 100 floz at $9.99 is actually the cheapest. I admit it is a sales price this week. And if you watched out for the Tide coupon in yesterdays newspaper, you can shave off another $1 so it comes down to $8.99
Dependant on the size either Target, Wal-Mart, Costco or Meijer have the price advantage. Comparing the unit prices (1 floz or one load) Costco with its 170 floz size would have the advantage. That is, if Meijer wouldn't have the sale. Do the math: Costcos 170 floz is 19.98 which is the same price as two bottles of Meijers 100 floz (at a sale price). But you get 30 floz more and if you saved the coupons, you can use two $1 dollar coupons. That is an overall saving of almost 25%.

KMart deals
KMart on Maple and Livernois in Troy, MI is closing the store there. Discounts start at 10% off. But be aware, some items are pricer than at other stores (WalMart or Target) so even a 10% discount is not worth it. But electronics are 20 to 30% so you might find some good deals there if you aren't picky. Saw some WII games and accessories (which are usually the same price everywhere) so a 20% off is a good deal.

Using Coupon
Not all coupons are worth using. Sometimes a product with a coupon might still be more expensive than a comparable product or no-name. But, if you should happen to see coupons for products that you use or that have exceptional value, re-buy the sunday newspaper multiple times making sure it has the coupon book. Of course the value of the coupons should exceed the price of the newspaper. Alternatively, go to Starbucks or Panera Bread. They have the Sunday newspaper for customers to read but nobody ever takes the coupon.
